SMF Training and Consulting does not sell your information to any 3rd party. Information stored on our website is for internal purposes only. Email addresses may be entered into a 3rd party site for internal marketing purposes only.
➤ Instructor Led Class Reschedules or Cancellations:
Cancellations within 7 days of class date – transfer to another class date only, no refunds will be provided. Unpaid invoices will still be considered due and payable. 10% interest will accrue on all unpaid invoices and SMF Training & Consulting reserves the right to collect payment in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland.
SMF reserves the right to not honor move requests within 2 business days of class.
No-shows or will not be rescheduled or refunded.
➤ Refunds for In Person class cancellation:
Cancellations prior to 7 days of class date – If an access code, sometimes called seat number, has been issued, refunds will be provided less $20 cancellation fee and cost of any shipped items.
➤Online Training Classes and Exams from ProctorU
Information about the course and / or exam will be sent within 24 hours of SMF Training & Consulting receiving your payment.
Classes and Exams are NON Refundable – NO EXCEPTIONS
It is the responsibility of the examinees to make sure that they meet minimum technical requirements for class and exam. ProctorU Exam requirements are here
Please note that phones, tables and Chromebooks are not supported devices.
SMF Training and Consulting is not responsible for any and all misunderstandings about requirements ServSafe or ProctorU has set.
All purchases of any Online courses, Study Guides, or Exam Prep Series are final.
➤ Book and Materials Returns:
Books may be not be returned. No refunds for any downloaded material.
➤Virtual Training
Our virtual training through Zoom or similar online program will prepare you for taking any Food Protection Manager Training Exam. You are responsible for connecting to the online format. We can not provide individualized assistance for diagnosing connection issues. SMF Training and Consulting has developed our training and techniques based on our experience and knowledge of the FDA food code. Refunds for virtual training are the same as Instructor Led Training.
➤ Copyrights of Downloaded Materials:
Any material that is provided as a download is for use by the enrolled student only and is not to be shared or otherwise distributed. Any distribution or use not authorized by SMF Training & Consulting is considered a copyright infringement. The includes, use of any material to create training courses, reproduce for any purpose, publish via email, or website.
➤ Group Discounts:
In order to qualify for group discounts students must be registered and paid for by person organizing the group.
➤ Pass Protection:
Attendance: Pass Protection is ONLY valid if the student attends the session in its entirety. Leaving for extended periods, arriving late, sleeping in class, or using computer or mobile device during training will void pass protection
The Pass Protection will be VOID if the student does not attempt the Practice test. You must pass the Practice test with a score of 75% or better or turn in the practice questions at the end of the study guide. Practice test access code will be included in email with Access Code, sometimes called the Seat number. It is the students responsibility take Practice test BEFORE class starts.
Pass Protection is NOT a guarantee to pass the exam.
Benefit: In the event the student does not score a 70% or better on ServSafe exam they can take a one day class and exam at no additional cost.
Expires after 90 days from failed exam date.
➤ Exam only option:
It is the students responsibility to know if they are required to take classroom training. SMF Training & Consulting will not be responsible if student takes exam only option when training hours were necessary.
